Welcome
Welcome to our church website and, we hope, to our church and its services. We are a friendly community and have a wide span of ages in our congregation, ranging from founder members who were here when the church was built nearly fifty years ago to young families who have joined our ranks more recently. We are encouraged to see newcomers joining us and welcome them warmly.
We are a Eucharist-centred congregation, with two services on Sunday at 8am and 10am. A children's group takes place during the 10am Service in the church hall and there is also a separate crèche for very young ones where the service is relayed. Those celebrating wear robes and process into the church; there is a regular healing ministry, offered month by month, and prayerfully, by the laying on of hands in the context of worship. Every week, after the 10am service tea & coffee is served in the hall.
There is wheelchair access to the church through the North door, on the left hand side of the church. There is a disabled toilet and baby change facilities in the church hall. The church is also equipped with a loop system for compatible hearing aids, simply adjust your settings to 'T'.
Our Vicar is David Maher, who joined the church in September 2007. He is assisted by John Polkinghorne (Honorary Curate) and Linda Dean (Licensed Minister). Our Churchwardens are Iris Brown and Henry Disney. As a Church we enthusiastically support Lay Ministry and four of our number have recently qualified in the Diocesan Authorised Lay Ministry scheme - two in Pastoral Care, one in Music and one in Administration.
